Renovation Carol #3
Elaine's carol #3: "Dusty the Bathmat" Sung to the tune of "Frosty the Snowman" Dusty the bathmat Used to be all nice and clean With its deep black pile And its fitting style Was the best one I had seen Dusty the bathmat Now wears some ground-in crud Under workmen’s shoes It has paid its dues In dirt and snow and mud There isn’t any better way Least not that I can see We only have one bathroom now And the guys have got to pee! Oh Dusty the bathmat They will never wipe their feet They just trudge on through Mess the wood floors too Cleaning up is such a TREAT Clompity clomp clomp Clompity clomp clomp Someone’s coming through Clompity clomp clomp Clompity clomp clomp I feel so bad for you Dusty the bathmat Some help is on the way With a shake outside And a vacuum’s stride You will live another day! Next to the bath tub You will try so very hard To look fairly new But they won’t help you ‘til they pee out in the yard! |
